A New Way to "Pick Up" a Guy
Monday, July 30, 2007I'm back home in Manila now. Been here since Friday night. I went online again the next night, our second night in Bora, but I didn't get to go blogging. I merely uploaded the pictures I took with my digital camera to my flash drive and then checked on my accounts.
This is a continuation of where I left off in my previous blog (Havin' a Ball in Bora).
Still Wednesday night, July 25, 2007:
Michelle, Yayi, and I started walking on the beach and headed towards the direction of Station 1. We checked out the stores and stalls along the way, sometimes taking pictures at interesting places. I think we passed by three big sand castles with"Boracay" inscribed on it.

(back view; we didn't feel like "donating" just to have our pictures taken from the front view)
We passed by Red Coconut and Sand Castles and after a while, decided to just head back. We'd been walking for about an hour by then.
We again took pictures on the way back.
I liked the Boracay Mandarin Island Hotel best. It looked great at night.

We stopped by Plazoleta to get our pictures taken on the cute, white, reclining sofa.

On our way in, an unfamiliar apparatus caught my eye and I asked my cousin Michelle what it is. She said it's a "hookah." Most of you probably know what that is. That was the first time I'd ever seen one!

(the "hookah")
Yayi and Michelle ordered drinks so we stayed longer.

On our way out, we passed by a guy going solo at another white sofa. Michelle asked me if I want her to approach him so I could have my picture taken with the hookah. I laughed and we walked on. But, like always, I just couldn't contain my curiousity. And so we went back. She approached the guy and asked: "Could we have a picture with your hookah?" (Wow! A new pick up line! It works, too! Hehe.)
It turns out he's a Scot and his name is Brent. Going on a solo vacation here. He was interesting to talk with so we stayed a while and chatted with him. Got a whiff of his hookah, too. I don't like it.

After that, we walked straight back to our hotel room. We got in at about 12:47 A.M. We got ready for bed and dozed off straightaway.

Wow ganda naman talaga sa boracay, akala ko same lang din ng itsura ng front ang back white sand castle.
