Feeling Woozy
Wednesday, September 26, 2007
I am back at the library of our graduate school right now. I was here beginning 12:30 P.M. today. However, about 30 minutes ago, we all had to go down for a fire drill. Lucky M.E.! Off all the days they choose to have a fire drill, it just had to be the day I chose to come here early! I would not have minded the drill too much had our graduate school library not been on the 20th floor! My legs could take 20 flights of stairs–that was chicken feed compared to what I went through in my recent trips to Mt. Banahaw. I am just complaining about getting dizzy from going round and round and round and round the staircase! I am still dizzy now! And hungry, too! Good thing I have some food stashed in the car.
I hope I will not chance on another one of these drills next time I am here . .
A Thought That Changed a Heart
Saturday, September 22, 2007I fell asleep late last night as I was in the middle of an SMS conversation with my friend Lala. I woke up next at around 5:30 A.M. to the call of the bathroom urinal. As I was heading down from the upper deck bunk bed where I slept, I glanced on the deck below and noticed one sister missing.
Welcome to the World Ron Leurej!
Thursday, September 20, 2007

I just received a text from one of my old, slightly-lost buddies just moments ago. He said he's a daddy now!
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Jeruel Ibañez! They are now the proud parents of a brand new baby boy! His name's Ron Leurej. (The father said it's pronounced: Ron Leu.Rey.)
Well, good luck to the kid and to his future teachers in pronouncing that name.
Relating to Vanessa
The female lead star of High School Musical one and two, Vanessa Hudgens, recently found herself in quite a mess with her nude picture splattered all over the World Wide Web. Well, I think I can slightly relate to how she's feeling, although I haven't been shot nude yet, neither is any fabricated one posted on the Net. However, I was still quite surprised to find my picture at a website (apparently a Toni Gonzaga fan site; to view the website, click THIS) this afternoon. Well, I was surprised since I wasn't even aware of the site and since I don't even know the person who reposted our picture. Not that I'm feeling like a celebrity now. Haha. I'm just saying I can relate to Vanessa Hudgens 0.01% now.

An Exception to "The Rule"

About 99.99% of all the left-handed people I know are pretty good with drawing and arts. I guess I'm part of the 0.01% that isn't. However, I think, like most Southpaws, I did have (or maybe still have) the "raw" talent in me. I think mine was stunted right at the roots.
I remember one significant event that happened decades ago, all the way back to my childhood days of innocence–I drew Pinocchio and a few other figures on a big, stand-alone, plywood divider. As I stood back admiring my "artwork," along came my grandma with a thin, long piece of stick in her hand. That stick went straight to my petite gluteus maximus! Smack went the stick! Boy, did it prick!
Well, that unfortunate event probably ended my budding art career.
Wanted: Soothing Balm for My Eyes
Monday, September 17, 2007

Yesterday, I dared use contact lens solution that was a few days over three months old. Big, stupid mistake! My eyes have been aching and irritable since last night and all throughout this day and night!
Lesson learned: take heed of expiration dates!
I'm going to strictly follow the 90-day use on a contact lens solution bottle now. This is one mistake I don't care to repeat!
OOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
I’d Rather Go Swimming
Friday, September 14, 2007

Come Sunday, September 23, 2007, I have to run 4.5 kilometers in just 50 minutes! They say that's two times around the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman campus academic oval.
Hmmm.
I wonder if I'll survive that. I wonder if I'll even make it one time around.
Hmmm.
Well, I did make it back to shore swimming two kilometers from out in the open sea. That took me three hours.
How much harder would walking-running and running-walking be?
But, 4.5 kilometers? Goodness. And on foot? Oooh. I think I'm a much better swimmer than I am a walker/runner.
Someone please tell me how to shape up in just about eight days!
Lost in Transition
Thursday, September 13, 2007I had been trying to get my church membership transferred several times and at several different churches the past 12 years. Now, I think it's lost.
Goodbye to "Survey Says"

Survey Says is one of my blogs. It's supposed to be a blog on "Random questions that seek entertainingly profound answers."
I'm deleting it as of today.
Why? Because I'm too lazy to think of even half decent questions to post on it.
Besides, nobody's posting an answer anyway. Haha.
Plus, I don't find the blog that appealing aesthetically.
I think the only question I truly like on it was the first one I posted, the one I "borrowed" from Before Sunset: What if you had a second chance with the one that got away?
So there.
My experiment with that is now officially over.
