Heat is My Kryptonite!
Monday, September 10, 2007

I got sick after my second Mt. Banahaw climb. I think it was the heat that did me in. Just like kryptonite, it sapped my strength and was somewhat sucking the life force out of me.
Unlike Superman, the resulting effects of my "exposure to kryptonite" was nothing THAT serious (at least I think not). Just a slightly heavy head; a cold in one my left nostril that would not go away (even after I drank more than 2.5 gallons of water already in less than 24 hours!); fire seems to be intermingled in my eyes (must be how Clark Kent /Superman felt right before his heat vision went off); and a fever trapped inside my brain.
I did have plans last Friday. I stayed home all day instead. (I even backed out of going to my new friend's magazine interview with Illac Diaz at the Asian Institute of Management.)
Saturday, I stayed home again. Didn't go to church (again!). I slept and rested my fiery eyes. Practically drowned myself with water.
By Sunday, I was feeling 82% better, however, my eyes still tired easily. Stayed home again all day. I just went out for about five minutes to buy a newspaper; read it; and then watched several movies on DVD.
Today (Monday), I have discovered that I still have that cold–still only in one nostril; there is still a tinge of a headache left; my eyes are still a bit fiery and still easily exhausted. I have refrained from wearing my contact lenses since Friday, which I suspect, irritates my eyes all the more.
Is this the end for "Super" M.E.?
I hope not.
Stay tuned for more "M.E.'s adventures" (a play on the word "misadventures"–corny!) . . . .
Mt. Banahaw Take Two
Friday, September 7, 2007I was back at Mt. Banahaw yesterday with 4th year high school students from Jose Rizal University (JRU) and again, Lakbay Kalikasan.
It’s a Good Thing!
Wednesday, September 5, 2007I was typing the last sentence of my previous post (Exhausted Again) when the computer monitor turned an ugly blue! Yikes! It dumped on M.E.!
I rebooted and went straight to my blog. I'm thankful that my draft's been automatically saved down to the last word I typed prior to the blue screen of death! (Another good reason to use i.ph's blogs.)
Good thing! I would've been too lazy to rewrite that particular post right now.
Exhausted Again

I woke up at 3:00 A.M. yesterday (Tuesday, September 4). My friend Gigi and I were set to join another Lakbay Kalikasan trip, this time to Mt. Banahaw with 4th year high school students from St. Paul College of Bocaue (SPCB), Bulacan.
Meeting time at Philcoa was at 4:00 A.M. We got there a few minutes after the Lakbay crew left. Blame it on no water coming out of our faucets at that ungodly hour. Blame it too on our confusing clocks at home–all with different time.
My One-Day Exhaustion
Monday, September 3, 2007

Last week, Tuesday (August 25), I went out of town with two friends and seven tourist buses of students and faculty from La Salle Greenhills (LSGH), plus people from Lakbay Kalikasan. We went to four different sites which I had never before been to.
"Hallowed" Be My Name — or At Least, Don’t Take it In Vain!
On a whim I decided to google my name. I was on page 10 when I got a slight shock to see some info on my blog in one Google entry, but with a different link–one that isn’t mine. I decided risk it and investigate, so I clicked the link.
I was in shock for a bit with my eyeballs popping out! What I found was an entire page of PORN pictures and videos! And I mean 1000% hardcore porn!
My friend, Dotty, helped me figure out what they did. Apparently, they pasted into their website’s HTML bits and pieces of information all coming from different “Malous.” Wise asses.
At least I discovered a new style. However, it’s a rather stealthy and deceptive style that isn’t really cool.
Well, I won’t share the link anymore. I don’t want to help them increase their visitors all the more! They’ve used my name enough already.
The price of fame, I guess. (Haha! In my dreams, of course! . . . I mean, it’s only in my dreams that I’m famous so don’t take that statement seriously.)
What happened?
Saturday, September 1, 2007What happened to my Tattle Tales blog? I posted some articles earlier and changed the background image. Now, the search bar, monthly archives, latest items, etc. are all the way down under all the articles.
They're supposed to be on the right side, right beside the articles.
Can someone out there help me please?
Thanks!
Blogging Interruptus
I haven't been able to "really" blog the past three days. My "wicked" sister banned me from using her PC (the only one in the tiny room that three of us temporarily share) for making her royal airness wait (I was washing my last piece of laundry in the bathroom at around 11:00 PM when she demanded the immediate use of the bathroom to take a shower–nevermind that it was the last piece; when she wants something, she wants it yesterday! I think that might be a generic trait she inherited from my dad . . . . ).
I mentioned before that I do have a laptop–one that I have never been able to use and will never be able to use. So, in short, there's really nothing for me to use right now. Oh, well. My unexpected blogging hiatus did bring relief to my right hand (which I suspect has already developed carpal tunnel syndrome). It's also brought relief to my butt–I've been out and about doing errands. The timing would be 100% perfect except that I have one more paper due for my Motion Picture Marketing class. I guess I'll be making a daily trip to the school library this coming weekdays for that. At least there I get to use the books, the computer and internet for free, plus it's air-conditioned too and quiet.
Well, the purpose of this one particular blog is to inform everybody that my blogging may be erratic for the time being. Also, since I'm supposedly on a break from school (except for that last paper which is due the day before grades are to be turned in), I plan to be out a bit more–going on out-of-town day trips with Lakbay Kalikasan and different schools (last week I joined the La Salle Greenhills trip to Angono Petroglyphs, Tanay Church, Kalinawan Cave, and Daranak Falls). I'll just blog about my trips sometime soon.
Meanwhile, take care, all!
