my rants and raves;
my public and private TFEs . . .
Anything and everything
(significant or insignificant) that breeze through my mind . . .

I’m Gettin’ It!
Wednesday, March 12, 2008I decided to get this. But instead of buying it myself and having it shipped here, I think I’ll just ask my friend in California to buy it for me and send it through our business partner when he comes here this March or April. That way I’ll be able to save a few bucks.
:D

The Candidates Are . . .
Tuesday, March 11, 2008I went out this afternoon to personally go to the business centers of Bayan, PLDT, Globe, and Smart to inquire regarding their DSL services.
Which Should Be "The One?"
We moved into our new residence last October 2007. Since then PLDT had once again been unable to transfer our telephone and DSL lines. (Click the links to read my previous PLDT horror stories: story 1, story 2, story 3).
A Game with Ultimate Strangers
Tuesday, March 4, 2008I was out at the University of the Philippines (UP) Sunken Garden late this afternoon playing frisbee with people I did not know. It was the second time I had been there to play and also the second time I was playing with strangers. It was like being in school for the first time and trying to find new friends and playmates. It was not Ultimate Frisbee that I played today. (I need to develop my throwing and catching skills further first and then exercise some so I would not become easily exhausted from all the running around.) It was just a regular throw-and-catch game.
I had fun. It felt great to be out in an open field running and jumping and throwing and catching and laughing. Even amidst complete strangers.
Photosynthesis vs. Respiration
I slept at about 3:30 A.M. yesterday. And then my aunt and uncle dropped by at 4:30 A.M. and woke me up. I had spent the night and the wee hours of the morning reading, researching, and typing their youngest daughter’s homework. Such a tedious task for me as I could not recall my human anatomy and physiology learnings.
So there I was, relearning the systems and organs and hormones, etc. of the human body to answer several activity sheets for a second year high school student. Ordinarily I would not condone such an act. But then I took pity on my aunt who was tasked with that–and she had neither a computer nor Internet connection.
