"The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."
James 5:16
"Then hear thou from the heavens their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause."
2 Chronicles 6:35
Every week Amazing Facts receives thousands of letters, e-mails, and phone calls from listeners of our daily and weekly radio programs and television broadcasts, Bible School students, and those who have been blessed by our evangelistic meetings.
Our evangelists hold dozens of evangelistic meetings throughout North America and around the world. There is a famine for the Word of God and many hungering souls are in the valley of decision. Precious life-changing truths are being presented from the Bible. Please pray for our evangelists and the individuals attending our meetings.
We need your prayers as we correspond with various individuals from all walks of life who are enrolled in our Bible Correspondence program. Many people are finding a friendship with Jesus Christ as they complete the Amazing Facts Bible studies in the comfort of their own homes. Please pray for them, and us, as we reach out to help them find and strengthen an everlasting relationship with our Lord and Savior.
Also, please remember to pray for all our students enrolled in our College of Evangelism.
ADRA Prayer Alert - Peru Earthquake
August 21, 2007“But my mouth would encourage you; comfort from my lips would bring you relief.” Job 16:5 NIV
The 8.0 magnitude earthquake that struck off the coast of southern Peru on Wednesday, August 15, devastated the lives of thousands of people, especially those living in coastal regions. With more than 1,300 people injured and at least 500 killed, rescue workers continue searching for survivors, sifting through the debris of what once were homes and buildings.
ADRA has responded with immediate assistance by providing emergency medical care, food, clean water, blankets, and tents to survivors. These desperately needed supplies will help survivors cope in the aftermath of the deadly earthquake. ADRA will continue to assess and meet the changing needs of the survivors.
The continuous, heartfelt prayers of our ADRA Angels are essential to ADRA’s work of changing the world, one life at a time. Fortified by your dedicated prayers, ADRA will continue to press forward in the coming days, weeks, and months, providing help, hope, and encouragement to the people of Peru.
The Lord hears our prayers and brings comfort to those striving daily to provide for their families, as well as to those individuals working daily to meet the needs of those struggling to survive.

Prayer Alert - Southeast Asia Flooding
August 12, 2007Millions of people have been affected by the flooding throughout Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and China. Countless thousands are struggling to survive in the aftermath of the devastating floods that have ravaged their lives and communities. As the floodwaters begin receding from the worst monsoon rains in decades, survivors need food, medical care, and shelter. And with the heightened risk of waterborne diseases, access to clean water and sanitation is especially vital.
ADRA is responding to those affected by the flooding by providing emergency food packs. Each food pack provides survivors with the most basic and essential components of food that will last up to two weeks! As the days and months go by, ADRA will continue—assisted by your valued prayers—to press forward in providing help, hope, and comfort to the people of Southeast Asia.
Please hold the flooding survivors in Southeast Asia in your prayers! The continuous prayers of our ADRA Angels propel ADRA forward in our efforts. Together, we are changing the world, one life at a time.
The Lord hears our prayers and brings comfort to those striving daily to provide for their families, as well as to those individuals working daily to meet the needs of those struggling to survive.
Visit www.adra.org or call 1.800.424.ADRA for more information about what ADRA is doing in Southeast Asia and throughout the world!
Prayer Request for Kidnapped Missionaries
August 9, 2007I received a text message this morning requesting for prayers for kidnapped Adventist Korean missionaries working at a hospital in Afghanistan. It said that nine would be killed tonight by 10:30 PM (I don’t know who’s time) if their demands are not met.
Please keep them in your prayers.
Thank you.
